•  Contribute to Drifting Dunes Council's Family Partnership Campaign. Ninety percent of your gift will be used by your council to provide materials, program activities, training and support for your daughter and her troop leader. The remaining ten- percent will go to your local area service unit.

•  Ensure your daughter gets to Girl Scout functions and meetings on time.

•  Pick her up promptly after the meeting or outing

•  Provide the leader with an emergency contact name and phone number.

•  Be informed about troop activities and plans.

•  Turn in forms on time: permission slips, registrations, etc.

•  Attend ceremonies, celebrations, and special events whenever possible.

•  Support and encourage your daughter's effort to follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law at all times.

•  Support the leader: ask how you can help. . . keep records, make phone calls, help at meetings.

•  Support the troop: help plan a ceremony, help with a service project, teach a craft, share a skill, arrange for the troop to tour your workplace, chaperone a troop outing, etc.

•  If your daughter participates in the Fall Sale of Girl Scout Cookie Program, turn in her signed permission slip on time, don't take orders before the sale starts, turn in order forms promptly on the due date, pick up the product when specified, deliver it promptly, and turn in money on time.

•  Say thank-you throughout the year to the leader and other volunteers who help the troop. They give their time and commitment to the girls in your community. April 22nd is Girl Scout Leader Appreciation Day. You might want to help the girls plan a special thank-you.
